How To Clean Your Waterproof Jacket or Coat?
Waterproof jackets or coats need to be handled with care when they are washed. It is important that you follow the correct steps to ensure that you do not damage your coat or jacket. Waterproof jackets should not be washed with chemicals or fabric softeners. The issue is that they prevent moisture going through the membrane, meaning that the jacket can no longer breathe.
Stage 1
It important that before you wash your waterproof coat use a brush to wipe any dirt of the coat focusing on pockets and zips.
Stage 2
It is important to check that the washing machine is free of any washing agents before you wash your waterproof coat. You can run your washing machine empty on a hot wash, and this will remove any left-over chemicals.
Stage 3
Place your waterproof jacket in the washing machine and add the special cleaning liquid. We recommend tech wash Tech Wash . It is also recommended that you only wash up to two clothing items at a time.
Stage 4
Check the clothing label to check the right temperature for your item of clothing, A good example would be to 30°C on a gentle spin as temperatures may change.
