Without the right boots, it’s a rocky road to nowhere for hikers, scramblers and walkers and these boots come with a PU shock absorber and Air Active footbed to reduce the force of impact on more challenging routes.
Weave your way up uneven windy paths and surfaces in these robust PU shock absorbent boots made from leather minimal stitching and with an Air Active highly-wicking footbed. Just as it sounds, the Air Active footbed makes your feet feel like they are on a cloud by elevating them off the floor and absorbing and managing moisture in your boots whilst hiking, trekking and walking.
With a supportive ankle cuff and support at the heel and tow through a stiff sole, these boots are comfortable to walk in on a slight slant when exploring rocky territory.
The moulded rubber outsole makes for improved grip and traction and the gusseted tongue stands the test of time against debris.

Measuring tips
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

Don't waste your money
Purchased a pair of these in March 2020, had them 2 years 9 months , well looked after , dried after each hike and treated. Right hand boot split. Meindl's reply , not our concern
Don't waste your money
Great fit and very comfortable but they have broken down in less than 12-month despite excellent care. Meindl didn't replace but the retailer did refunded as they have had a few pairs returned.
Disappointed - leaking at sole/upper joint.
Owned 4 years. Comfy, sturdy boot. Done 150 Wainwrights. Tread suggests plenty more miles left. Unfortunately, they sprung a leak. For £200, I expect better. £110 to repair. Too much.
not worth the money
After a few years of infrequent use, the sole of the shoe began to come loose for no particular reason. The rest of the shoe is in good condition. At this price, the shoes should last much longer.
Was expecting better
Pro's- well made, excellent leather, very subtle, 100% waterproof (so far)
Cons- not comfortable could really do with additional padding around heal, insole is glorified cardboard.
Problems with PU mid sole
The PU mid sole on this boot breaks down causing the sole to come off. First pair replaced, second pair resoled by Meindl but again the sole is coming off after less than 12 months
I invariably take a UK 10 but these fit me in EU 46/UK 11
40 years of buying boots of all brands - these are by far the best most comfortable and most waterproof I've ever owned. I love them.
