The Streetwize Low Wattage Induction Cooker is a brilliant tool for cooking away from your kitchen at home.
The heat ring only gets hot when your pan is touching it, while the outer surface stays cool at all times. This makes it safer and easier to clean than traditional stoves. What power rating is this?
Stating it’s ‘low power’ but not specifying what that means in numbers, is useless!
Not low wattage
Misleading to describe this as low wattage. At low settings it is just pulsing the power, not actually reducing it. It will be around 2kW.Needs a pure sin wave inverter to run from battery.

Low wattage, but what is low?
The description doesn't give an actual wattage, so is it lower than a regular portable induction hob? Probably not. Nor does it warn campers their lightweight cooking pans won't work on induction.
Bought this last summer....
I bought used it once last year - it was brilliant. Stored it safely indoors with my other camping kit, this year the "down" button doesn't work. So it now only cooks on ferocious :(
Doesn't work with inverter
Got this to use with a 12v battery and inverter, as instructions say is OK. Display came on but no heat generated in pan of water, and inverter got very hot so had to turn it all off. Disappointed.
